Deepfake Misuse Targeting Cameroonian Sports Journalist Ladonette Ondesa

Cameroonian sports journalist Ladonette Ondesa recently raised alarm over the misuse of her image and voice in an online scam involving AI-generated deepfake videos. According to her account, unidentified individuals created and circulated manipulated videos in which she appears to endorse fraudulent activities. Each time concerned followers shared links with her, the pages hosting the videos appeared under different names, suggesting a coordinated and fast-shifting scheme. Ladonette firmly stated that she has no association with the fraudulent content and warned the public that anyone engaging with these pages especially those requesting money does so at their own risk.
