On October 8, 2025, Kenyan journalist and media personality Talia Oyando faced a new wave of online body-shaming and sexist comments after new photos of her circulated on social media. Users and blogs ridiculed her physical appearance, turning her image into a topic of public mockery. Across social media and gossip outlets, commenters are speculating she has undergone cosmetic surgery or is using Ozempic (a weight-loss drug) to explain changes in her body — without any credible evidence. Others are pushing a defaming narrative by renaming her viral moniker “Night Nurse” to a more materially suggestive label “landlord,” insinuating she now owns flats, as a way to shift her public image into gossip territory rather than journalism.
